Address book

I want to move my address book from apples program to entourage. Is there
anyway to do this? Better yet, anyway to maintain a current sync?

I've already explained this before in this newsgroup, but I'll explain it
once again since I'm in an altruistic mood today. The easiest solution is to
open Entourage in the address book view, then to open Address Book in front
of Entourage. Just select all your contacts (Cmd+A), and drag & drop them
into Entourage. Yes, its as easy as that. There are a few minor glitches,
though, some fields may not be interpreted correctly, but that's the way I
did it, and I was pretty happy with the result. Remember that AB doesn't
support categories, so you'll have to manually assign them to your contacts.
While this solution is good if you want to import the entire contact list
once and for all, it's not really a good way for synching. There is in fact
no real 100% solution for this, but many people have recommended Paul
Berkowitz's Sync Entourage-Address Book, an AppleScript that makes sure both
apps have the same contact details. Note however that you'll have to pay for
this, since it's shareware, but I think there's a free trial period. Here's
the link:

0.2.1.2.22.31.97.9.35.0.1.1.1?user=berkowit28&fpath=Sync%20Entourage-Address
%20Book&templatefn=FileSharing.html
Make sure you download the script that's right for your OS.

Thanks for the reference, Michel. A simpler link is

<http://homepage.mac.com/berkowit28/>

But even better is to download it from

MacScripter.net <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>

where my Sync scripts are prominently displayed. MacScripter.net has great
download servers (there's never ever been a single complaint), have just
about every script ever written for Entourage (check the "Entourage"
category) and, best of all, contain a description of what each script does,
which my paltry iDisk homepage website doesn't. (I don't know how to make
proper web pages and am too busy doing other things to learn ;-))
