Why didn't Microsoft make the importation of Outlook Express Address Book
automatic?
It's easy to import the Address Book as Contacts, why not simply as Addresses?

Import into what? Outlook uses Contacts as the source for electronic
addresses. The Address Book, outdated since Outlook 2000, is only a view of
your Contacts folder.
