Address list problem in 2002

When creating a new email and clicking on the To box, I get the message
'The address list could not be displayed. The Contacts folder associated
with this address list could not be found . . . etc.'

How can I get this to correctly reference my Windows Address Book?

Why would you ever want Outlook to use your Windows Address Book?
Outlook cannot use the WAB, nor would you want it to.
Use the Outlook Address Book. It appears you have not yet configured it
correctly. Read this:
