Advanced Find will only search for flagged items

About 2 wks. ago, I started having a problem with the latest version of
Entourage X. I installed Office 2004 for Mac this a.m. and *still* have the
problem. (I had the Setup Assistant remove my Office X apps and prefs.)

When I go to do an Advanced Find of any folder, the search results fail to
find anything, saying "Search Results (flagged only)" and that it couldn't find
any flagged items. I have no criteria set for looking for flagged items (don't
even use flags).

Because of this, I'm not able to use Find at all in Entourage. I've searched the
Help feature with advice found there. Because our campus had a contract
with Microsoft for our educational copies, I have recourse to their tech
support. I found nothing on the MS Website for any product support for
Entourage, except for this Newsgroup.

Can someone please email me (ideally) to let me know how to solve this
problem?

Go to View > Flagged Only, or press Command-Option-O to turn off the Flagged
Only view.

Thanks for the post, Mickey, but that doesn't solve the problem at all. I
*still* can't search any of my folders without that message coming up,
"Search Results (flagged only)".

Nothing in any of my folders in Entourage are flagged, BTW. So what you
suggested only shows (or not) things that *are* flagged. But none are.

It turns off the "Flagged Only" view for me permanently if I select that
option while a Search Results window is in the foreground.

Thanks a lot1 That did the trick. Sorry, I didn't understand that the Search
Results window had to be in the foreground.

I have *no* idea how I ever came to have this problem as I never even knew
there *was* a pull-down from View re. flagged (or not).

Any chance you can reply to my other post today re. my email folders going
missing once I upgraded to Office 2004? Might save me hours of work,
putting Humpty Dumpty back together again. The post was on email folders
vanishing...
