Advice on Moving Office to Intel??

Due to a catastrophic hardware issue with my 17" PowerBook that Apple
can't reslve, it is getting replaced by a 17 MacBook Pro. I'd like to
hear from those who have already made the leap and what I should look
out for, any outstanding issues, etc.

I hadn't planned on moving to intel until later this year, but I've
been forced into early adopton...

Been there, still there with 20 Users going to Intel MacMinis from a
variety of towers.
The only repeatable and verified problem is with Entourage and
Quicktime 7.1 update. Simply put - do not do the QT 7.1 update. It
wrecks havoc with Entourage's ability to use color in HTML based email
messaging.
Microsoft is promising a fix but until then, just don't do the QT
update.
Otherwise, latest greatest Office2004 is working fine.

Are the problems specific to QuickTime 7.1 on Intel? I had 7.1 on my
G4, and i didn't notice any issues.

Since Apple is providing my replacement MacBook Pro, I may not have
much choice of the software that it comes with.

Nope, it's just a 7.1 issue with the Intel macs. They do not ship with
7.1 (we got our latest two days ago) but just don't allow it to
auto-download and update. You'll be fine.
