After Editing Chart, Losing Column

I have an Excel chart embedded in a powerpoint slide. I double click the
chart, make edits, and when I click outside of the chart to return to .ppt,
the right column is not showing. Any attemtps to edit the chart only re-size
it. How can I edit the data in the chart, and return to the original slide
with no formatting changes?

You might try readjusting the plot area within the chart area on the slide.

Also, instead of double-clicking to open the chart, try right-clicking and
choosing Open. Sometimes that will help.
