After reboot"Would you like to make Entourage your default email program"

I am having problems with preferences being lost after a reboot. Is the message "Would you like to make Entourage your default email program" something that indicates a loss of an OS X pref or an Entourage pref? Any suggestions what I can do? Thanks!

It could be a corrupt pref. Try trashing

com.apple.internetconfig.plist

Apple requires you to launch Mail now to set default. I prefer these other
options:

Use one of the freeware applications to change default applications.

I like to use IC Switch in the menu bar so I can easily toggle between web
browsers.
