Alarms when entourage not running

I am running entourage trial version on my new ibook (just switch from
Windows). I tried ical but unacknowledged alarms are not carried over
to the next day like with Outlook so I'm trying Entourage. I set an
alarm last night for 8AM this morning. When I logged in this morning
Entourage did not give me the alarm. Does it not show alarms after the
time has passed?

yes, it does. Make sure that notifications are turned 'On' under the
'entourage' menu.
