Alert Sounds in Entourage

I just migrated from Mac OS9.2 to OSX 10.1.6 (I think), successfully
transfered my Address Book and Folders, but I seem to have lost some of
the alert and/or warning sounds, as (for example) when I click to
delete a message, I no longer hear a sound as the dialog box opens up.
Is it just not there anymore, or do I have to do something to re-enable
this (and other) sounds?

Check Entourage--> General Preferences --> "Notification". Make sure that
the appropriate sounds are checked, and click the speaker icon next to them
to test your sound setup.

If you don't hear anything, first make sure that your volume is turned up
and that your speakers are configured properly.

If you can hear sounds from other applications, but not the Entourage
