Aligns Right

J

Jon Gaster

My problem is the same as Jitu Bhatt:

When I compose the e-mail, the addresses and the subject line "Aligns
Right". I cannot find any reference anywhere to correct this. I have
removed .plist and reinstalled the Office 2004 without any results.
Any ideas or suggestions ?
..
For me this happened after I installed the OSX 10.3.5 update - not sure if it
had anything to do with it.

Thanks

No, nothing to do with 10.3.5. It's a bug in 2004 that only hits some people
sometimes. it happens after such users have viewed a complex HTML email
message. Quit Entourage, relaunch, and go back to composing your emails
without reading any new messages in case they're complex HTML until you're
done writing. Or you could turn off the "Display complex HTML in messages"
preference in Preferences/Security.

Jon:

Were you able to come to some kind of satisfactory arrangement with your
'Right Alignment' problem?

How are you working around it?

Hi Era,
Try this:
http://www.entourage.mvps.org/troubleshoot/bugs/right_align.html

or follow the steps:
Addresses and the subject line are "Right Aligned" when composing an e-mail.

It is a bug in the complex HTML rendering capability of Entourage.

Only affects some Entourage 2004 users. it happens after such users have
viewed a complex HTML email message.

Fix!

1.. Quit Entourage, relaunch, and go back to composing your emails without
reading any new messages in case they're complex HTML until you're done
writing.
or
2.. Turn off "Display complex HTML" in the Security prefs, restart.
Thanks,

Anil
