All cells now divide by 10,000 any number that I enter

I did a Norton scan and can't find any viruses. But
whether I'm creating a new spreadsheet or am modifying an
existing one, every number that I type into a cell is
automatically recalculated by being divided by 10.000.
Help!

Thank you - fixed decimal is already unchecked. Problem
persists.

OK, next thing to check. If you enter 123456, how *exactly* does it appear?
If you enter the *formula* =123456, how does it appear? If you enter 123456
in cell A1, then enter the formula =A1<100 in B1, what does B1 return? I'm
trying to rule out number formatting, such as setting the Normal format to

0\.00000

Also, have you tried setting macro security to high?

Have you checked that your C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\XLStart
directory is empty? How about your alternative startup directory? Do you
have any add-ins loaded?
