All Contact fields in Palm?

T

Terry Wise

I'm trying to decide whether to go with Palm or MS operating system for my
PDA. My concern with Palm is that it doesn't synchronize EVERY field in OL
Contacts. It's been years since I used a Palm Pilot, but my recollection
from back then is that it would not sync BOTH business and home addresses
for one individual, or BOTH business and home phones for one individual. It
would choose one, and not synch the other.

Is this still the case?

For those of you using Palm devices, what OL fields - if any - are you
unable to syn with your device?

TIA,

terry

It all depends on the conduit program you are using for the sync. The
newest Palm PDAs are shipping with PalmOne's own version of a conduit
program, and according to the support website, it looks like it will sync
quite a few additional contact fields than some older conduit programs did
(such as Chapura PocketMirror Standard, which shipped with many older Palm
devices). And if the included conduit doesn't meet your needs, there are
surely other 3rd party programs that will, such as DataViz Beyond Contacts
(http://www.dataviz.com/products/beyondcontacts/index.html).
