ALL My emails/contacts are gone

I opened my Entourage X yesterday morning and there were NO emails
there and there were MANY with many folders that filed older emails the
night before. I have looked and cannot find any trace of any of my old
settings. I tried to "rebuild", however since there is nothing there,
there is nothing to rebuild.

It seems like everything was just erased. I can usually figure these
things out and I'm baffled. There is only one thing I can figure that
did it.

I was "organizing" folders on my computer and I moved a folder entitled
"microsoft user data" because it was in my documents folder and I
didn't want it there. Could that be it?? Thanks for your help... I
will NEVER "organize" files on my computer again... I swear!

You might want to put that folder back because it does indeed contain
all your e-mail.

well, I tried that and I think it created another folder just like it
in it's place, so when I went to replace that folder with the one I
moved BOTH had been changed to hold none of my old emails.

Well, I tried moving the folder back, even though it looked like my
emails and all 3 "identities" were gone and it worked!!!

You're welcome and I'm pleased you've got your e-mail back. I know what
it's like to lose all your e-mail through mistakes involving the delete
key which is why I now use IMAP e-mail servers. :)
