I've installed the MSDN version of Ultimate from the MDSN subscription DVD on
my development box (xp pro sp2). Problems arise with conflicts pointing
possibly at Groove and / or Desktop search.
The standard uninstaller asks me to confirm removal, churns for about 10
secs and returns to the Add/Remove Programs screen without error,
confirmation, or any change in the system. I've also tried Repair and
Add/Remove features with identical results. Nothing logged to Event Viewer.
I've run the Office Diagnostics - on the first pass it reported finding and
corrected on installer related error but decided i didn't need to see more
information than that (sigh). Uninstall/repair/add/remove all still act the
same. (grrr).
many thank for help.
