an option to make a default save as e.g. save as word 2003.dic

Because at college they use office 2000, it would be useful to be able to to
have a save as 2000.doc short cut. So it would be nice to have a custom save
as an option for the quick access toolbar so that i could for exmple make a
custom save as called Save For College as both a helpful reminder and short
cut, as im always forgeting to save in an older version

Hi Chris,

You could create a macro that recorded some options settings and then did a save, but you may want to look at the choices in Word in
Tools=>Options=>Compatability (set to Word 2000)

Word 2000 and Word 2003 use the same basic file format but 2003 has additional features such as changes in some graphic placements,
so there isn't an 'older version' save other than disabling features created after Word 97 in Tools=>Options=>Save.
