Entourage, error when sending mail
(Dual 1.25 GHz Power PC G4 Mac running Mac OS 10.2.8
Entourage:mac v.X 10.1.4 Service Release 1)
Mail could not be sent using the account "XXX @ XXX."
An unknown error (4362) occurred
web search says that:
CAUSE
This problem may occur if an Entourage X database or a user
identity is damaged.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, rebuild the Entourage X database
files.
I tried this, it didn't make a difference in my case.
The problem seem to appear when an email has been saved to
the "Drafts" folder and then attempted to send after that.
The fix is:
.. cut the text out of the email
.. delete the email
.. start an entirely new email
.. paste the text into the new email
.. attach any required files to the new email
.. send
this has happened twice and the solution above worked both
times
