Is there any way to get the resource to come over with the data in Excel? I
have my resources by name loaded in my schedule, however multiple resources
are working under a particular task. The inforomation being exported to
excel shows only the roll-up cums for a particular task and are not seperated
out by resource. Is it possible to achieve data exported by resource? I do
not see the selection when the export wizard offers one the ability to see
what criteria one wants to see? I am trying to find an easier way to come up
with an everyman by task report.

KG,
The Analyze Timescale Data in Excel utility/add-in is a good tool but it
does have limitations. Timescale data by task and timescale data by
resource can be exported but not at the same time. There are basically
three ways to get what you want.

First, use a combination of Task and Resource exports (i.e. export
timescale task data from the Task Usage view and timescale resource data
from the Resource Usage view). Then combine the results in Excel. It
does require some work but it should give the end result needed.

A second more crude method is to do a copy and paste from an
appropriately customized usage view from Project to Excel. This isn't
too bad for a one-shot deal but may be prone to operator error.

The third approach is the one I use all the time. Develop a VBA macro
that exports all the data needed and formats it exactly as desired. This
approach is the most flexible but does require knowledge of VBA or
someone to write the code for you.

Hope this helps.
