animate piecharts

I'm trying to animate sections of piecharts to enter ni a certain order -
general help says to apply custom animation and go to effect options and
select an option under Group chart - but the only option is 'as one object'.

Try changing your animation to something simple like Wipe. That should make
the other series and category groups available.

In addition to what Echo wrote one question: Was your pie chart created in
PowerPoint or was it imported from Excel? If it has been imported, it can
only be animated as ONE object.
