Hello,

I have an issue that I have been unable to resolve.

I have Microsoft Outlook 2002 (with Service Pack 3)and
any message that I send and for the most part any message
that I receive are in Text Mode Only even so I have
configure Outlook 2002 to send new emails in Rich Text (I
also try HTML but it doesn't make any difference).

BTW, I have installed every Microsoft XP critical patch
and every update for Microsoft Outlook 2002, I have even
look in the knowledge base but I can resolve this issue.

Finally, I would appreciate some advice as to how can I
resolve this issue and I thank you in advance for your
help.

Regards,
Yvan.

Firstly, do NOT use Rich Text Format mode. Only Outlook users will be able
to read your messages.

If you set your format to HTML and compose a message, does it not send
properly? If not, what kind of error message do you get?

Open your Tools menu and click on Options. On the Mail Format tab, click on
the Internet Format button. What do you have selected under the choice for
Outlook rich text options?

If you have everything set correctly, this might be an
ISP issue. Some ISPs don't allow anything but text
messages (or so my book said).

SgtRich,

Thanks for replying to my message.

Now as per your 2nd question:
Open your Tools menu and click on Options. On the Mail Format tab, click on
the Internet Format button. What do you have selected under the choice for
Outlook rich text options?

I selected "Send using Outlook Rich Text format".

As per your recommendation, I switched from Outlook Rich
Text Format,to "HTML format", but it did not make any
difference, I still send and receive my emails in "Plain
Text format".

BTW SgtRich, is it possible that this might be an ISP
issue (a workmate suggested that some ISPs don't allow
anything but text messages).

Finally SgtRich, Thank you once again for your response.

Regards,
Yvan.

Thanks for your reply coloradogal.

I will call my ISP and find out if indeed the ISP only
allows "Plain Text" format messages.

Once again coloradogal, thanks for your suggestion.

Regards,
Yvan.
