Folks,
Am currently running Office 2004 under 10.3.4. Am having problems
linking items to contacts.
Creating a link from any Entourage item to a contact (Link button >
Link to Existing Contact) gives me a small window with a list of all
my Address Book contacts. First column is "Name", second is
"Company", 3rd "Email". To create the link I have to locate the
contact in this window.
Interestingly the First column is an array with the names of my
contacts but also contains company names if the Address Book entry is
only a company (without a person's name). 1400 contacts in total.
This first column is NOT sorted so there is no way of locating the
contact. To be able to locate an entry by typing the first few letter
of the surname, I have to click the header of the Names column, which
sorts it in reverse order, then click it again to sort the in the
correct order. Now I can type "smi" to locate the "Smiths" of this
world. Otherwise I have to scroll down attempting to locate the
correct entry. This is a lengthy process.
Is this a bug? Is anyone else having this problem? Am I missing
something? Is there any way of letting the MBU now about the bug?
Regards,
Steve Jamieson
