Anyone tried this new Entourage to iSync program?...

Annonced today. Doesn't seem to be a demo, so wondering if anyone has
bought it and used it.

Information Appliance Associates on Friday introduced PocketMac
GoBetween, a utility that synchronizes contact, calendar and to-do
list information between Microsoft Entourage and Apple's iCal and
Address Book applications. The data is synchronized every time you use
iSync, so it'll be the same if you're looking at it on your Mac or on
portable devices like iPods, iSync-compatible cell phones and PDAs.
PocketMac GoBetween requires Mac OS X v10.2.6 or higher, iSync and
Office v.X or 2004. It costs US$24.95.

I haven't tried it. The problem is that I sure wouldn't give them 25$ if I
can't even check that it works...
I saw that there were no reports on versiontracker either. t looks like not
that many people tried it so far :-\

I also have not tried it out and $25 is a lot of money even though the
strong EURO :-(
However, there is another tool available to sync at least Entourage with
iSync. It calls ³Sync Entourage-iCal², costs ³only² $19, is shareware and is
also available at versiontracker. Maybe someone has some experience with
that tool?

Sure. I use this one all the time. Not much to say: it just works ;-))
The application is synchronizing the two applications directly through
AppleScript. The same author (Paul Berkowitz - a fellow MVP :)) ) also
developped another app to sync with the System address book and another one
to help import and export data to Entourage (and Excel actually).

You'll see Paul post in this group fairly often BTW.

In fairness, the equivalent cost of the Berkowitz scripts is $38, since Sync
Entourage-iCal and Sync Entourage Address Book are $19 each, correct?
GoBetween purports to do both for $25.

Definitely stupid for them not to provide a demo. A couple of negative
reports showing up on VT also. Guess I won't try it yet.

Paul's (Berkowitz) scripts are very useful. Any bugs I have found were
immediately addressed and corrected. I think both scripts (iCal and Address
book sync) are worth the $38.

Don't do it. I tried and it scrambled all my data. Good thing for backups. :)
