AOL e-mail on Outlook

Please help me with setting up Outlook to receive mail
from my new AOL account. I am getting several errors
after setting up the incoming "imap.aol.com" and
outgoing "smtp.aol.com" Such as:

server response '250help'...error 0X800ccc7D etc.

I have Windows XP and a new Laptop with the latest
technology. The version of Outlook is 2000 SR-1

Sounds like you need to uncheck the SSL option. In any event,
http://postmaster.aol.com/imap/outlook00.html should be helpful in setting
up your account properties in Outlook.
