AOL woes

Some of my AOL email comes into my email account "Inbox" that is in the
"AOL" folder, and some of it comes into my generic "Inbox" under the folder
marked "Folders on My Computer" I would like it to come into one or the
other, but not both, and sporadically at that. Anyone else experienced this?

The AOL folder is an IMAP account. Folders ³On my Computer² are POP.

I don¹t use AOL so it¹s hard for me to help, but all the info we have on
using Entourage with AOL can be found here.

Be sure to look at all the links that help with account settings. It¹s
possible there is something wrong with your account setup. It could be in a
rule. Do you have any rules that move your AOL account mail?

I have an AIM mail account which is operated by AOL, and works in a
similar fashion to the AOL accounts. I have not seen any odd behavior
like you have described.

Do you have any Rules in your Mail (IMAP) group of Mail Rules? They are
found under Tools -> Rules. I don't use any rules with my IMAP accounts,
but looking at the presented options you could move a message with a
rule into your Inbox (On My Computer) from the Inbox associated with the
AOL account if a message met selected criteria.

In addition to what has already been said, make sure you do not have any
Mailing List rules that move messages for you. They are easily created by
marking a message identified as junk by Entourage as "not junk". See if
there are any rules in Tools>Mailing List Manager; if there are, and you do
not remember creating them, disable or delete them and see if your problem
goes away.
