Apostrophes

For some reason, when I type words that need apostrophes, the receivers of
my e-mails report that the apostrophes appeared as weird symbols, but not
apostrophes. I don¹t know why this happens. I¹ve tried changing my fonts in
the general preferences section, but that doesn¹t help. Anyone know what I
can do to stop the weird symbols from appearing?

This happens when some windows clients don¹t correctly interpret the
character set. The best thing to do to ensure best compatibility is to turn
of Œsmart quotes¹ in the autoformat section under the tools menu.
