appearance of contacts

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

When I got a new MacBook, I had to change from Outlook to Entourage. Now, all contacts are listed in the order of the first names, not the last names. My "old English teacher mindset" can't handle this. Is there a way to set it so that contacts will be ordered by last names?

Thanks,

Entourage 2008 has the ability to show First Name and Last Name. See

You can uncheck the Name column. It does sort by last name but lists as John
Doe rather than Doe,John making it confusing.

Thanks. Actually, as I went through the processes that you mentioned, I realized that they were already alphabetized by last names, but the first name was listed first.
Now I at least have it so that when you look at the address book, the last name shows up first. When you click on any contact, though, it still shows the first name first.
Oh, well, thanks.

Did you disable the Name column? Do you realize you can drag the columns to
place them in the order you like?

Thanks. I did disable the Name column. I dragged the last name column to be first, and in that view, the last name appears first, like I want it to. However, when you click on a contact, it is shown with the first name first.

Thanks

I'm having a hard time understanding why this is a problem once you have
found the contact. Maybe I'm not getting the problem, can you send a
screenshot showing how this is not the correct behavior?
