For my current document, I can't have the headings of the
appendices generate in the TOC. I've gone about creating
new styles based on Headings 1, 2, 3, etc and named them
Appx1, Appx, Appx3, etc. This way, I can have a separate
TOC in the appendices by omiting headings 1, 2, 3 from
the TOC list and including only appx1, 2, 3.
The problem is: Appx sub-level headings will not
autonumber consistent with the Appx 1 heading. The first
section (1.0, 1.1, 1.1.1) is fine, but the second section
comes up 2.0, 1.1, 1.1.1). No amount of renumbering has
helped without also affecting previous heading numbering.
Is what I'm undertaking even a possibility? Thank you.
