Apple Mail Import lost all newer mail

I just installed Entourage 2004 and imported all my mail from Apple
Mail. It appears to have imported everything except my Inbox and
Drafts. I can live with that, but I just found that it did not import
any of my messages for this month.

In other words, when I look in folders, all of the older messages are
there (from September or older) but nothing for October. Obviously I
cannot work with that and am back to Apple Mail.

Please help. (Other than this, I am greatly impressed by how Entourage
has evolved.

I tried deleting all imported mail and re-importing and it worked all
right this time. Thanks anyway.

I still have the same problem, I cannot get Entourage to import my inbox,
even though I have tried to delete the imported messages and to restart the
import. I don't know where the problem is, but there's a way of bypassing
the import process. Apple Mail saves its messages in the MBOX format.
Basically, you can just select your messages in the inbox, then click "save
as". Choose the format "Raw message source", and you'll get an MBOX file.
Rename that file by adding the .mbox extension, so that its icon changes
into a letterbox. Now all you need to do is drag this MBOX file into
Entourage's inbox, and that's it.
And even though Entourage uses its own proprietary database, it is also
capable of exporting messages in the MBOX format: just drag the inbox folder
(or any other folder) from the left-hand column to the desktop, and you'll
get an MBOX file.
