Apple's Mail to Entourage

Hi All,

I'm running Mac OS 10.2.8, and Office X. I've recently needed to switch
from Apple's suite of PIM programs to Entourage and have two
questions/problems:

First, is there any script available to move my calendars from Ical to
Entourage? Everything I've seen so far goes the other way. The one generic
Entourage import/export script I've seen fails on Ical calendars. If you
look at the ical file, the dates are encoded in a way that I don't
understand- it's not a typical database/spreadsheet format.

The second involves imap servers. I have three email accounts, two imap and
one pop account. Apple's Mail could connect to all three. Entourage can
connect to the pop and only one of the imap accounts. As a control for my
settings, I used the exact same settings in Mail- no luck. Tried going
through the very detailed directions on my email service's homepage-
including telnet-ing to their imap port to see if the problem was with them
or with Entourage. Alas it appears to be with Entourage.

Any ideas on what settings beyond the obvious ones I should check?
Entourage says it can't find the server (although Mail can find the server
with the same name).

Thanks!
Lorraine

You can't import iCal information into Entourage.

Since you are new to Entourage be sure to check out macscripter.net.

The second involves imap servers.

If you copy/pasted then it's possible you added an extra space.

I don't use imap so am of little help here. I suggest asking this question
again with imap in the subject. You might get more response for this
problem.
