apply rules to sent messages w/o using list manager?

hello

it seems that rules (tools > rules) generally aren't applied to sent
messages. I can set up a rule that says 'if any recipient is [email protected],
then move message to folder xyz', but that still seems to point to received
messages, not to sent ones. When I send a message to [email protected], it is
beeing moved to the xyz folder only if I set up an additional mailing list
rule. Is that really so, or is there a way to get the regular rules to apply
to sent messages, too?

You need to create Outgoing rules, under the "Outgoing" tab in the Tools >
Rules dialog, to create rules that apply to messages that you send in
Entourage.
