I just installed OS 10.3 and on two computers the Office entourage
does NOT display appointments correctly anymore. I enter a new
appointment and save it. If I look at the date, for example 7. of
dezember I see nothing.
However if I search for the event by name it appears correctly in the
search window.....
Needless to say that I NEED Entourage to work properly...but this bug is
just out of my technical knowlege (if it is a bug)
truly yours

Pierre, I'm having the same problem... try checking out at the same
day you set the appointment, but in DECEMBER of 2004... probably the
appointment will be there...

I'm still seraching how to sove it... when I figure it.... I'll post
it here...

Helloo...NeoZ

How right you are. My appointments ARE in Dezember 2004 instead of Jan 2004.
That means I put a appointment in 7 of January and........ It shows up in
Dezember 2004...
Now I already saw your other posts.
Is there a solution???
Are we the only unsers experiencing this TOTALLY unacceptabel bug.
Unfortunatly I cannot skip Entourage since my whole group works with it. We
experience the problem on both machines. This weekend I will update another
2 machines to Panther....but looking at the hassle.
What does Microsoft say?

Yesterday I wrote a Word Doc with an "field" for automatic date in it on my
mac, looked at it on a windows computer. The date field was full of strange
caracters.
I have my computer set on "Brazilian Settings" ie. If I choose a date..it
appears as sabado, 10 de jan etc.etc.
If you choose a new appointment in Entourage with this settings, Entourage
somehow gets confounded and puts jan2004 into dez2004. Why??? Dont ask
me..its not a bug... It's a feature :)
Why do only few people complain and only Neoz and me shwo up in this
newsgroup. Dont ask me...probably in Brazil 12 month earlier or later do not
really matter.

Perhaps because only 2-4% (depending on who you ask) of computer users use a
Mac, and only a percentage of those use Office v.X, and even a fewer
percentage of those users have their computer set on "Brazilian Settings."
So the amount of people who would ever see this bug is very small.

Just a guess...

You could drop MS a note about this bug.

I did talk to some guy who writes software for Entourage called Paul
Berkowitz. He said he would inform MS about the bug.
