Archive problem...

John Carter

When we use File-->Archive it doesn't work. An archive file is opened and
all the folders are created, but, no messages are archived.

Has anyone seen this?

To save time & trouble: I am an Exchange administrator. Not a newbie. My
settings are correct and messages are there to be archived. Archive does not
work for anyone in the organization.

Our setup:
Exchange Server 2003 Standard
Outlook XP clients
Information Store is at 9GB (I recently defragmented database)

Any help,

AutoArchive works on the modified date of the message. See if this is newer
than the autoarchive is set for.

Not using AutoArchive. Just doing File-->Archive. BUT, You seem to be right.
The modified dates are newer because we did an EXMerge 3 months ago. Thanks.

AutoArchive and File-> Archive are the same only that you trigger the one
manually ;-)

But indeed; your EXMerge broke it.
