Archived E-mail

Every time I would launch Entourage, I would receive the message,
Database corrupt. So I ran the database utility in Office 2004. After
running the database utility, Entourage would not launch. I would get
a message, saying Entourage could not start. So I went and renamed the
old database to Databaseold and then launched Entourage. After
launching Entourage, I was prompted to create a new Exchange (using
Exchange 2003 server) account. All the mail came through on the mail
server into Entourage, but the problem is that this person had previous
put old e-mail in the Folders On My Computer - above the Exchange
account. She just moved mail off the exchange and into the Folders On
my computer. Now after the new account was created and the new
database was created those old archived e-mail were not there. I did a
search in Spotlight for .rge files (archive files) but none where
listed. Does anyone know where the files are located once they are put
in Folders On My Computer? Or how I can find those missing archived
e-mail?

It doesn't sound like the rebuild was successful. Entourage creates a backup
so you can revert to the original if there were problems with the rebuild.
Since you had to rename, it sounds like this step did not happen.

The mail in "Folders On My Computer" are located in the database that is
corrupted.

You would only find .rge files if you were to use export to save Entourage
items.
