Archiving email folders

How do i archive my emails from all my folders so i have a back up of
them when i need to view them. i used to be able to hit archive in
office 2008 from windows and it did it for me. is there a program or a
way to make this happen with entourage.

way to make this happen with entourage.

You have a couple of options.

You can archive ALL of your stuff by choosing "Export" from the File menu.

If you just want to archive a few mail folders at a time, drag the whole
folder from Entourage to the Finder. This will create a standard mbox file
that can be saved, viewed in a text editor, or even re-imported back to
Entourage by dragging it back in.
