As an XP user it would be nice If I could open word documents

How can I open or read word docs when I operate XP ?

I assume you are referring to Windows XP, which does not come with any
version of Word or Office (nor does any other operating system). You can
download the free Word viewer from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...87-8732-48D5-8689-AB826E7B8FDF&displaylang=en

Hi John,

If you're referring to MS Windows XP, it doesn't include MS Office products. Those are sold separately
(http://microsoft.com/office/howtobuy). You should, however be able to open MS Word documents using either MS Windows XP Wordpad
Start=>Programs=>Accessories
or by downloading the MS Word viewer (http://office.microsoft.com/downloads) or from installing the MS Office 2003 60 day trial
edition (http://microsoft.com/office/trial
