ASP Pages

Mike

Does anyone know why asp pages must be in the webpage's
root directory inorder for them to work?

I am trying to establish several categories of pages
inorder to distribute web maintenance to different team
members. I had established subfolders below the root
directory to help each memember keep track of their
respective files.

When the appropriate asp files are moved to the
subdirectories I get an http error.

Any suggestions?

Hi Mike,

There is no requirement for ASP page to be in any folder. I would suspect
that the other folder / subweb does not have Allow Scripts to Excite
permission. To check it, View | Folder List | right click the folder |
properties.
