ASPX vs. ASP in Submission Form

Hi,

I've successfully built an .asp and an .aspx page using
the DIW in FP03 givng me the form, the editor, and the
results. What I don't understand is how come when you
select .asp you get several additional pages that are not
included when you select .aspx? For example, when .asp
is choosen you get a confirm.asp, detail.asp, edit.asp,
etc. When .aspx is selected none of these come up a
seperate pages.

That being said, my second question is when I built
the .asp page and I go to edit the record, all the drop
down choices & radio buttons in my submission form are
labeled option 1, option 2, etc and I must re-enter all
the information. However, when you edit a record in
the .aspx page, there are no drop-downs & radio buttons
and the data is still pre-populated with the information.

Is this normal or a bug? I can't figure this out.

Thanks.

Jason
