Assign shortcut keys to slide objects

I am running PowerPoint 2000. How do I assign a shortcut
key to select an object, say, a command button, on a
certain slide? In other words, the user presses a key, as
opposed to clicking the mouse, to choose an item on a
running slide show. I don't think Shortcut Manager for
PowerPoint works.

Thanks,
Eddie

Shortcut Manager enables you to assign keyboard shortcuts to menu items and
macros. I would be interested in analyzing what didn't work with Shortcut
Manager for you. It would be great if you can send me an email on your
experiences with it.
