Assigning category to page problem

I have 4 files that are in the 2nd & third level of the navigation display,
that I can not assign to a category with the page properties workgroup.

The only thing that I saw that was not expected was: When I first tried to
assign them, I selected them with the control-select and tried to assign them
as a group.

I have tried the tips suggested in the post "Page Properties workgroup
categories will not update" of 1/7/2005. It did not solve my problem.

I published the site to IIS on my PC. I was able to make the assignment on
the IIS site without any problems.
