assigning different users

D

don

I have created a web but would like to have certain pages
in the web to only allow certain people to update/change.

Can I assign a different username/password for each page
that I have created with frontpage??

Or is there a way on the server to do this??

Thanks

I would suggest you have a conversation with your host on
this subject. See if they have the ability (or desire) to
assign unique permissions. If so, you could set up a
subweb for each person, assign unique permissions to each
of those subwebs and place the content they will be
responsible for updating/changing in their specific
subweb.

Yes, you can get this done at the page level. Subwebs would not
be appropriate at the page level nor does getting it done require
any extraordinary support from the hosting service provider.
What is requires is scripting and a database.

If there is a business rationale for doing so we should talk
as I've developed several solutions for merchants who needed
to make pages and entire sections of their sites selectively
available to individuals, classes of individuals and so on.

As for the requirement to 'change' the page(s) once logged in I
would ask you to explain yourself further.
