Assigning ID # to Contacts

How do I assign a ID # to a record; and how do I do this so that the #
appears on the frone page of the contact?

Enter data in either a standard field, such as User 1, or a custom field
that you add. Both can be done on the All Fields page.

Customize the contact form. See
http://www.outlookcode.com/article.aspx?id=21. If your Outlook version (which
you should always mention when posting to these forums) is 2007, another
option would be an adjoining form region.
