Assigning Master to existing Shapes

I want to assign Masters to existing shapes because changes in the Masters
Custom Property Set will distribute themselves within the entire file.

The file I have to work with contains only one Master Shape but the user
manually assigned four different Custom Property Sets to the Shapes in the
file (3.500). He had better created four Master Shapes to ensure proper
Custom Property propagation.

Now, it seems that it is not possible to assign another Master to an
existing shape, right?
Does anybody has an idea?
