Assigning new Org chart object to a higher level object

Am using VBA to process a spreadsheet of employees to update Visio org
charts. Want to be able to add new employees to the Visio org charts
and connect them to the correct supervisor. I have all the data
elements I need in my spreadsheet to identify "who" they will belong
to.

I can drop the new "position" org chart block onto my chart, but I
can't figure out how to get the block attached to the correct
supervisor. At the time that I drop the block onto the chart, my
active element in the chart is the correct supervisor. But I can't
figure out how to calculate the correct "X" and "Y" to feed into the
drop, so that the new block ends up in the correct place.

I've gone through the info in the Developer Reference in Visio and in
the language references online. Don't have access to the full SDK and
can't install it anyways.

Any suggestions or pointers?

Drop the employee shape ON TOP of his boss, and the org-chart wizard stuff
should take care of it automagically for you....that is, if you're using the
special whiz-bang Visio-provided org-chart template.
