Assigning times to dates

SheriTingle

Is is possible to assign specific times to dates? For example I have 4 things
happening on January 14 and all 4 are assigned to 4 different people. Each
task must happen during a specific time frame.
January 14, 9 AM-10 AM, Sue collect books
January 14, 10:30 AM-noon, Bill score tests
January 14, 1 PM - 4 PM, Kim e-mail results
January 14, 5 PM-6 PM, Bob answer phone calls

Thanks for the help!

Hi Sheri,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

The simple answer is "Yes", but not necessarily advised.
Tools/Options.../View tab and select a Date Format: to include the time of
day. Now, when you enter the start date, include the time. Then make the
Duration the length of the task eg 1hr.

It is not advised, as Project is designed to do the scheduling for you not
for you to dictate the dates - you might just as well use Excel for that.
To enable Project to hold these dates, it will apply a Start No Earlier Than
constraint, which will reduce the flexibility of your project. You should
never enter dates (other than the project start date) but enter the
Durations and the logic links for the predecessors.

Thanks.)
