Don't click in it and you won't see anything but a blank field, which is
very easy to ignore and takes up no more space than removing it and leaving
empty blank space. Think of not clicking in the field as your own personal
statement of rebellion against hocus-pocus, making a stand for civilization.

If you have a birthday entered and tab through it to get to the rest
of the personal fields, the sign will be filled in. I think I
mortally offended Omar Shahine back when Office 2001 came out, by
volunteering to nominate Microsoft for one of James Randi's "Pigasus"
awards. In my defense, I was a little touchy when I saw this
"feature" because I had just discovered that there was a basic design
flaw in their IMAP routines that kept Entourage from working with our
server (we had to wait six months for SP1).
If I remember right, Entourage 2001 was based on the Metrowerks
PowerPlant framework, and I used a resource editor to alter the layout
of this screen and remove (or make invisible) the astrological field
on my own copy of Entourage (did I mention I was peeved at the time).
It would probably still work, but definitely not for the faint of
heart. Your horoscope for today reads "Avoid PPOB resource #11007 in
the file 'Microsoft Framework'; danger lurks for meddlers".
FWIW, I think I remember someone at Microsoft defending this feature
by saying that it was popular in Japan.
