at least PPT 2002 needed?

Geoff Cox

Hello,

Am I correct in thinking that at least PowerPoint version 2002 is
required to be able to use the following, selected from the Control
Toolbox

Text Boxes
Check Boxes
Combo Boxes (with macro code)?

Thanks

Geoff

Stretching the old memory here but if I recall correctly these were available
from 97. Maybe you had to install vba support as an option though.

John,

Were there versions between 97 and 2002?

97, 2000, 2002

In 2002 it was possible to decide whether to install VBA or not. In earlier
versions it was installed by default.
In 97 the macros could be either disabled or enabled there were no secrity
levels.

If I were to guess that you'd be happy to be told that you're wrong, would I be
right? If so, you're wrong. Or even if not, you're wrong. ;-)

Steve,

I think I may have confused myself here! Possibly thinking of 2002 and
later and the TimeLine etc. Some while back Shyman wrote in response
to a question of mine,,

"I strongly recommend that you read the Timeline object information
and all it's properties and methods. The AnimationSettings object is
not reliable if you are using PPT 2002 and later. It is only provided
for backward compatibility."

If so, it's catching ;-)

I don't understand the connection between timeline and using controls. Unless
there is none and that's why we're confused?

Steve,

Just mental confusion!

Cheers
