Hi can anyone out there help me with how to attach a .dwg attachment to an
email. Thanks, Joseph.

I have found the answer to my own problem of attaching .dwg file attachments
to an email using Entourage.
I had to purchase Stuffit and compress the folder containing the .dwg files
and attach the resulting .sitx file which then worked fine.
Hope this may help any one that had the same problem.

Where are your .dwg file coming from? The DWG format is an AutoCAD drawing
file, and should be a single file, not a folder or bundle.

Hi Barry,
I export drawing files from Vectorworks into .dwg format for AutoCAD v.2002.
I may have several drawings to send at the same time.
Also when I export them to .dwg I get a folder for each file with the .dwg
file plus .pat files for any hatches contained in the drawing.
It seems to work OK as my engineer was able to open the files after
downloading Stuffit Expander and opening them with that.
Cheers,
Joseph

OK, I see - so the .dwg files themselves will attach, you needed to attach
the folder containing the dwg file & the .pat files, yes?

To avoid using stuffit, which most windows owners don't have and wouldn't
understand, I have a script to attach files as zip archives (called
attachZip) at <http://homepage.mac.com/barryw/scripts/scripts.html>
