Attachment can not be opened directly in Outlook98's "preview pane".

Attachment can be opened after "Save as" to the local drive and double
click
it.
The cooresponding application & the attachment will be opened
automatically.
However, the file can not be opened directly in Outlook98's "preview
pane".
Any idea ? Thanks.

No, I am quite sure I could directly open attachments in Outlook98 without
using "Save As".
but I really don't know why not in the machine !?
