attachments appear in body of message

When adding an attachment (using Word as the editor) the
attachment (an icon of the file) appears in the middle of
the message I wrote. It does not appear below the
subject line as it should be. I have un- and re-
installed office xp and still no change. Any
suggestions? Can post in newsgroup or drop me a line.

You are probably creating mail in Rich Text Format, are you? RTF can show
attachments in-line. Switch to HTML or Plain text to display it below the
subject line. You can do this by clicking on Tools-> Options-> tab Mail
Format
