Attachments disappearing

I've never seen this before. On a particular user's computer
(Entourage 2004, OS 10.3.9), sometimes an atttachment will simply not
be sent with the message. I've ruled out any errors on the recipient's
end or via the ISP: it's definitely Entourage. It happens pretty
rarely, but consistently.

Any ideas?

Do you see the attachment in the user's Sent Items? If so, I'd blame one of
the mail servers involved - perhaps some kind of overzealous virus
protection. Could also be an encoding issue if the recipient's email program
isn't recognizing the attachment.

I have this problem when I sent mails with attachments afeter a fresh
install of Tiger 10.4 and Entourage. Never happend before on any panther
version and entourage 2004.
This bug was described in some forums but not solution for the moment.
If you send more than 1 file in attachment the first one won't be sent the
next without a problem.

Marcelo (but not remarque)--your problem sounds like the known issue where
attachments are corrupted on send. Do you have either Little Snitch or Net
Barrier or any other network utility of the same type installed? It's an
interaction with that type of program under Tiger. Read this long thread for
many details:
" Re: Corrupt attatchments since upgrade to Tiger"
I believe Little Snitch has released an update that doesn't cause the
problem, but NetBarrier hasn't.
