Attachments in Calendar problem

We have a manager using Entourage on his mac and his secretary uses
Outlook on XP. When his secretary creates a calendar event in the
manager's calendar from Outlook and attaches documents to it, the
manager can see the event in Entourage and a reference to the
attachments, but does not receive the attachments.

Does anyone know what is going on here and how to fix it?
